The Lyons (Cabin) King

Dear Cabin Lovers,

Being a Cabin Enthusiast all of my life, I have made the decision that it is time to find our own family cabin. We have been looking at cabins from Red Feather, to Estes/Drake and the Lyons/Allenspark/Ward areas. The place we have decided for our first family cabin is in Lyons, Colorado. Specifically on Riverside Drive in Lyons (Raymond). To date I have personally walked previewed over 2 dozen, at last count 28 (give or take).

Riverside Drive is in the South St. Vrain Canyon, the Middle Fork of the River (whatever that means! ). It is a lovely area, quiet and peaceful. It is about 15 minutes from downtown Lyons. The cabins were built in the early to mid 1900’s.  500-3000 square feet, 0 Beds/0 Baths… to all the bedrooms and bathrooms! We have been looking at 2-3 beds/1-2 baths, ideally situated on the river.

We’re getting close, this is our year!
